Whenever I hit a speed bump a little fast I hear a tapping like metal to metal on the undercarriage of my 1995 Z.

Also, when I hit one of those multiple speed bumps, like those in school zones that have 8-10 small bumps together, as the tires pass through the bumps I get multiple tapping like the sound of a hammer hitting the undercarriage really fast several times. This sound is just past the transmission, like more towards the middle to back of the car.

Does anyone know what might be causing the tapping? Car is a 1995 Z with 20k original miles; I’ve had to change the transmission mounts and ignition wires, since they where dry rotted for having sat so long.

Could this be the rear-end bushings have dry rotted as well?

It is prolly your LCA (lower control arms)
tighten the bolt that connects the arm to the fram and it will stop doing this. Mine is doing the same thing now after I did the SFC's but I am too lazy to tighten them up, only did one side and now only getting the sound from the other side.
