need help a.s.a.p
came across a lil prob in my 95 lt1 z28. was going down the road car was running fine all day when it started to buck and stumble. like the ignition key was being turned on and off. then it let out a backfire. so i made it to work. let the car set for 4 hrs as im gettin ready to leave. i turn the key no fire. so i checked the coil no spark. then i asked my bud at his speed shop to lend me a msd blaster coil hook it up qwik . and to my suprise no spark at the plugs or from the coil. so now im left trying to figure if its the opti or the ignition module now. whats ya'lls take on this?
thanks in advance to any answers

I believe Shoebox has a graphic on how to test the Opti. Nice to check before getting into the expensive habit of remove and replace.
It appears like it could be the case. Any codes? Is it a manual?

No cap and rotor on the Camaro... sorry. Just an Opti. If that was replaced yesterday, I'd get that checked as it is likely not hooked up right.
Also, there is a safety switch on your clutch pedal. Can't tell without really looking into the Opti. The safety switch prevents the car from starting without pressing the clutch pedal. That could be going bad.
But I'd get after those guys who sold you a cap and rotor.

If the coil isn't getting fire then its probably something coil related, like a loose wire or fuse or something but not necessarily the coil itself, I don't think a bad opti would keep a coil from firing however it would kill spark to the plugs pretty darn quick. The cap and rotor guys are sounding pretty suspect to me right about now.
I think its the AM/FM antenna, Ive heard those go bad and cause the car not to start, good luck with this one, these darn electrical systems have no way of telling us whats really wrong with them, its kind of a guess and check type thing, check your ground wires from the coil, then check your opti (ie replace it)
