need help quick! found coolant in oil on new 383

Well i guess ill give the background first the motor is a brand new Victory Racing Engine's built 383 with LE2 heads and LE3 cam. I just took it to the dyno to put the first miles on the motor so I could deal with any small issues that may come up. But any way went to adjust valves and noticed around the headstuds some drops of coolant and running down the head gasket as well. I thought it was probably just the waterpump gasket and it was leaking and running down the side of the block. Nope definatly coming from either the headstuds or gasket. When i took the valve covers off found some small puddles around the studs. I didnt loose that much coolant. What do I need to do? Im going to drain the oil to see how much is actually in there tomorrow. I tried to get a hold of VRE since they put the heads on but they're closed for the holiday. What should i do til I can call them monday any help is greatly appreciated?

If you want to run the engine over the weekend you could pull one head stud at a time and put black RTV on the threads and reinstall/torque, (after draining the engine coolant). That should seal them up. That coolant will kill the cam bearings sooner than later so do a few oil changes in the next few days.

(happend to numerous head stud motors I've built when using ARP thread sealant....now using black RTV with great success).

Or if the motor has a warranty by Victory and strict provisions on what to do if problem is discovered then you shouldn't do a thing right now and wait until Monday when you contact them.

Bars leaks or Aluma-seal works well. That ARP sealant is strange, sometimes it works great and then other times it doesn't. I've always done well with it, but I had a buddy of mine use it and he had problems. He used bars leak and after 15-20 minutes of driving it never leaked again.

re

well used the bar leak after changing the oil and after about 20 min of idle time the leaks stopped from the outside studs, tommorrow im gonna adjust the rockers and see if the ones inside the valve covers stopped as well. Then im gonna change the oil and run it for a little again and hopefully if all is well change the oil again and flush the coolant system
