i just checked my pushrod length with the stock push rods. i checked intake 1,5,7 and exhaust 1,and 3. the intake 5,7 and intake 3 seemed to be right on center, but exhaust 1 and intake one were a little off. what do you think this could be??????

Off in what direction? Be more specific.

So, not a left/right centering thing, but an up/down (just wanted to be sure). Did you compare the length of the pushrod to the others? Is it adjusted the same as the others?

I tried to send you an email asking why the guideplate was flipped over. It is marked with "UP and "DOWN".

 

Id be willing to guess you didnt use a totally solid lifter to check?

If thats not so...maybe slight imperfections in the cam grinding.
