Wrap? Wrap + Coating? Just Coating? Or Just paint?
Or may be nothing???

Thanks!!!
Don't put header wrap on headers, it flat eats them up. I bought a used set of SLPs dirt cheap that i was going to sell to a local guy. They had been header wrapped and they were very pitted. SLPs are stainless steel as most people know and i'm sure another year or so of the wrap would of destroyed them. The wrap just causes them to rust like crazy and also can cause the metal to get brittle and break.
Jet hot is a form of coating for headers. It works really well on stainless headers and ok on non-stainless headers. The SLPs i bought that are on my car i've had for 4 years and are coated. I bought them used and they still look like the day i got them, nice and rust free, just a dull silver finish. On the other hand my buddies Hooker LT's have hardly any Jet Hot coating on them anymore. I believe Jet Hot is still a sponsor here, check the supporting advertiser section.

Could be something as harmless as oil or grease that got in/on the headers during install, could be the paint being baked. However, it could be your plug wires or something else burning, make sure nothing is touching them.

They are one of the boards supporting vendors and are a big name in the coating industry. They can coat your headers for you for a nominal fee of course.
