Need help with my y-pipe im dumbfounded.

I was trying to put my hooker y-pipe onto my hooker longtubes i just installed today and the assembled y-pipe is about 2" too wide at the flages. If i line up one side the other is more then halfway (about 2") ovlapping the other pipe. Its just too wide. Is there a way i assembled the pipes wrong? Looks like the drivers side header ends just a lil closer to the front of the car and the assembled pipe was slightly longer on the drivers side with the pipe having the flattened area on the drivers side. Hope that all made sense. Basically i put it together and its just a lil too wide???

On another note any tips on getting the back header bolt on the passenger side? Im about to cut a 7/16 box wrnech in half.

I either got it from underneath the car or a very short wrench. You may have to cut one of your tubes on the y-pipe. We cut one on my car to get it all to mate up (can't remember which one since it has been a while since the install). Good luck.......
