need help identifying something

i need to put my msd plug wires on and i got ovc looms. problem is there is a bracket and something connected to it above the driver's side valve cover. ive never seen it on anybody's car before. there is a plastice cover on it that says something about see manual for throttle adjustments. hopefully these pictures will show up. nevermind there too large. anyway its a bosch unit. i can't find it in my manual. i have pictures that i can email if you need to see them. i really need to know what it is and if i can get rid of it or relocate it. thanks ahead of time.

Re: need help identifying something

It's your traction control servo. If you want to get rid of it, you will have to buy new cables from the pedal and cruise control.

Re: traction control

I have the same thing on my 97 Z28.
If I take it off will my traction control still work?

Thanks,

Chris
