Arrow Need help fixing my arcing problem??(like quick/permanent fixes)

alright looked under hood last night my brand new taylor ovc wires are arcing. I was wondering for now if i could put some high temp gasket sealer on them? Until i have a break from school and have money to get new wires. Also when i get the new wires if i get the boots with them will this permanetly stop my arcing i mean i dont feel like buyin wires every other month. so what will stop them from arcing for good?

I had a set of Taylors that were arcing straight down the side of the plug. I bought some AC Delco wires, changed them, same thing. I've yet to figure out what's causing it. I have a low RPM stumble as well that may or may not be related. I've changed the coil as well with no luck. Do you have a miss or are the wires just visibly arcing?

I also have the Taylor OVC setup on my car and have had a miss I have been trying to track down. The other day I looked under the hood at night and noticed that there were flashes of light coming from the areas where they all run together. I didn't see any actual "arcs", but I think that I should not be able to see light. I am thinking these wires might be the problem. They are brand new. Has anyone else had this problem with brand new wires?

Cool

The spark is looking for a ground.Might remove the heat shields. The more ribs the spark plug has,the less chance the spark will travel.(Split fire plugs=no ribs).Hope this helps.

The only heat shields anywhere near the wires are on my #5 and #6 cylinder plug boot(the factory 90* shield). I'm running NGK TR55s. speed76demon, I'm not trying to take over your thread or anything. I just noticed we have a similar issue which may be coming from the same item.

i also have a little miss/hesitation which is getting really annoying. I was just wondering if the 1200degree heat sleeves and new wires will solve the problem

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on if the wires are your problem or not. I thought mine was a burnt wire by the way it was acting, but the new wire didn't help.

i have a 94 z28 that had a bad problem misfiring, cutting out at 4k RPM, etc. it turned out to be the distributor and the ignition coil, which was arcing (so the wires werent getting a signal) while i was at it i put in plugs, wires, and rotor. i use all ac delco performance parts, and that cured my problem. i know that thats an expensive fix, but my problem was close to yours. Ive had no problems since. i know this might sound dumb, but make sure the wires are properly connected to the plugs, ive had arced wires in the past before for that reason alone. Good luck
