Hello Everyone! I am trying to figure out an ongoing issue with my car. My car sometime wants to start and other times it doesn't. Could it be the Crank Sensor? If not then what can make my car start and other times not? My car will crank crank crank crank etc. and nothing then sometimes I will crank it and it starts. Wierd but that is why I am checking with all of you. I really would appreciate your help..Thanks.

 

On the LT1, the crank position sensor is only there to monitor for misfires. It is not used for engine control functions.

 

Hey Shoebox. So if it isn't the crank sensor then what do you think it is? It is very wierd. Again Sometimes it will ignite and turn on and other times it simply won't. Although when I do turn it on the car sometimes will turn off as if lost power. It just bawgs out.
