need help!!! cnt figure it out

ohk i had optispark problems by getting it wet and it wouldn't start and then it did so i drove the car to get a cat put on it at the muffler shop ( was open headers). i got a new cat put on but the car was missing bad and the guy said i should have that fixed. i drove it to my work and then the car wouldn't start so i changed the plugs and wires there one plug was broke i figured that was the problem. the car started but now my cat was glowing red i'm guessing from getting really hot? so i thought it was clogged so i cut it off and now it wnt go past 2 rpms won't accelerate or anything......is it my distributor? its my only explanation

car still seemed like the car is clogged up but it revs up fine in park but when i put it in drive it bogs down and starts to drop oil pressure....as i drive it does fine but it seems like it can barely go and when i stomp it it barely accelerates

Sounds like symptoms of a clogged cat.

So it runs like crap AFTER you cut the new cat off.

Since you have a CAI and you DOUCHED the motor, did you ever bother to check the air filter to see how wet it is?

FWIW, why would you put a new cat on an engine running like S@#T?????? Any poorly running engine can and usually does trash the cat.........
