Exclamation Need Help On Cam

I HAVE A 97 FIREBIRD LT1 STOCK WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST CHOICE OF CAM FOR THAT CAR I WANT THE POWER BUT MOSTLY THE SOUND NOTHING REAL BIG SOMETHING THAT WILL WORK ON A STOCK CAR WERE I DONT HAVE TO TUNE THE COMPUTER

Good luck.....

You never need to tune the computer, it just won't run anywhere near its full potential, so just save up and spend the 100 bucks and get a reprogram, there is not one cam out there that will work to its full potential without tuning unless you replace yours with another stock cam

you will definetly want headers and an exaust system on there first to let that cam breathe....you wont see big gains with a cam on a stock car

If you want it to really run well without reprogramming the choices are pretty limited. The CC PN 07-501-8 would be your best choice. People also use the HOT cam and the CC 305 without reprogramming.
