the air pump is on the drivers side. I assume you are talking about the power steering pump. Don't run the wires in the stock location by the PS pump. They can be installed without taking the ps pump off, but just route them over the valve cover. I wasted 2 hrs putting the wires in the stock location on the pass. side and after they arc'd all over, damn taylors, i ripped them off in place of MSD's OTVC.

now he is routing them ovc but then when he goes to take them down to the opti there is no way he says to get down there without removing the AIR. I have also noticed that my car is a early 94 car i think b/c of other things that has happened to me that are diff from other 94 cars still no ideas on how to route these it looks to me like he is right the passenger side is so crowded i dont know how he could do it any other suggestions or pics of how u did it

Just curious, where did you get the MSD OTVC wires??? Are they pre-crimped or universal?

Thanks.

You can get the MSD's through summit. They are universals and they had them in stock. jegs told me they would take 3 weeks to order and get some.

Your AIR pump is driven by the serpentine belt?
I have never seen this.
I think you should be able to remove the AIR and be done with it.
Thats what I did.
Look on there and see if your AIR is driven by a belt, I would like to see that.

The AIR is on the drivers side and is not belt driven....its electric. Take it off and throw it away...it want light the ses. The wires are easy to run on the drivers side in the stock location. Now the passenger side is a different story....I put plastic wire sheilds on the wires on the passenger side and routed them between the acc bracket and engine the ziptied them where I could....no problems after 2 years . The only thing you need to remove for the passenger side to do this is the belt and belt tensoner...very easy.....just make sure to shroud the wires.

That is exactly what I did.
Very important to put some convoluted tubing on the wires that go through the brackets on the passenger side, they will chafe and eventually rub through the wires outer coating creating an arcing condition.

Same here. I couldnt see how you can rout the anywhere else. Wherever I thought the wire would touch any metal I used convulted tubing. Other than that it was really easy, just removed the tensioner. Driver's side, the wires go through where the AIR pump used to be.
