i have a 1994 camaro z28 with a 6speed.

i have a 383ci with ported heads 1.6rr 58mm TB ele-pump
its all the good stuff inside- its set up for the bottle 200shot.

which cam should i go with??? i have a comp cam 306 and have been told that its not the best.

what should i do???

 

#1. This is definatley not advanced tech.

#2. Give Brett Bauer or Joe Overton a call.

If your not into the "Top secret cam specs":

#4. Call combination motorsports and have them give you a hand.

#3. Call comp cams or crane cams and see what they recommend.

I'm using a 234/242 on a 355. I would imagine you could go much bigger with a stroker motor. My buddy put a 233/239 in his and he is not satisfied at all. I assume something in the 240 range would do it on the intake side, but you will have to consult the pros.

 

Not enough info to even guess. Let's start with the following: you planning an HR or a SR cam? What heads are you using? How much street vs. track time? How important is drivability/low speed operation? What is the compression ratio, and so on.

Heads, compression, gear, tranny, stall etc.... Those all play into it.

Add in what the car is used for, what you want for drivability etc...

You really can't pick a intake and exhaust duration out without having quality flow numbers.

well the heads are stock with a port job, also installed are 2.02s and 1.80s
the car is a 1994z28 with a 6speed, soon to be a 9inch with 3.90's and a twin disc
its running 10:5.1
i dont care how it is one the street because i have another car to drive..
