need help asap

im about to board a plane to go see a 1997 camaro ss. its a true ss with 13k original miles. the owner just phoned me saying the oil cooler broke. i cant find a part or labor line item. how much does it cost to have a shop do the install?

Just remove it. You are better off without it. They can clog up and cause problems. Do a search of this forum and you will find some info.

Two things:

I had my car for ten years now and the oil cooler has never done anything untoward. I'll bet others will echo this.

I don't know what there's to break. The system consists of hoses to an adapter sandwiched between the oil filter and the engine.

The problem may be a leaky line or a loose adapter...nothing requiring you to remove it...and easy to fix.
