Re: need help advice appreciated. new to forums

hey thanks guys. I do currently use wot switch but would prefer to go with the one off the tps as its kinda flimsly design on the one I have and dont really want to put it with the new tb. I hadnt been thinking of that pause til hitting full throttle being a small cushion but i am still concerned with the impact at shifts as i will have more hp on motor now than I had while spraying before and I thought the stock 6 speed was rated for like 400 horse and under spray Ill be 650 ish at the crank. My common sense tells me the more I cushion that impact or jarring effect(and directly after it) the less apt I will be to break drivetrain parts. I do shift hard not speed shift but am sure I am in the throttle plenty before clutch is engagued. Does this make sence and is this a good strategy for me with the stock t56 or am i being too cautious? Ill probably be making more runs on safe sections of street anyway rather than the track. I havent been able to launch all that hard anyway(old setup) as too much wheelspin and the drag radials didnt help much and not sure how much is the track surface or what but without slicks I doubt ill get into hard launches anyway without some suspension work. I mean i get decent launches but its soft because i am avoiding wheel spin. Nothing like the guys who can launch at high rpm and stick but the low end torque has kept me looking like I get good launches even though its soft. eventually i need to go into my suspension and Im totally clueless there yet i am more apt to have a car that can handle a road course than a drag strip but want it to perform well in the drags too. I kinda think my motor is geared well to do this and think the n2o controller lends to this as well (obviously short runs with n2o). Part of it is my dad has a subaru that will be close to 700 wheel horse and has so much money invested I dont want him to be able to just put my car to shame. For the small amount of money i have in mine vs his I think my car will shine might even be able to take him in the 1/8 if his big ole turbo wont spool quick enough and I can hook well enough in 1st and 2nd. Gotta at least let him think I coulda had a v-8 lol.
