need help

So finally have the new longblock in and almost everything back together and filled radiator and fluids loaded the tune and made a few attempts at starting it up. New fuel pump seems to work ok but the fuel pressure tester didnt have an end to open the schrader valve so couldn't confirm good pressure. The light flashes on the ltcc while turning it over and I think its suposed to stay solid. I did the two pink wires of ltcc to the powered side of the old coil and the white wire to the b pinout of the control module. I did get some spark cuz it fired out the header. Thats all the further I went. The big issue is I seen a puddle under the engine and already having issues with both heater hoses wasn't to concerned til I was leaving the shop tonight and noticed the water is coming above the dipstick hole and above were the head mates the block and cant tell if its coming from one of the head bolts or out the head port under the header. Motor has not ran yet and I didnt recheck torque on longblock as trusted the builder. What should I do? I dont have my exhaust back yet as well as dont have all my wired tucked and secured so any head torquing might best be done before I move forward or should I get the spark and fuel good and then attempt to start it and see what happens, should I plan to replace head gasket?

Re: need help

So you have a coolant leak, is that what you're saying? Got it.

Before you do anything you have to find where the leak is coming from. A pressure tester and dye kit is the tool to use in this situation.

Re: need help

The problem with not starting may indicate a problem with the Opti being indexed incorrectly. You may be lucky, because you don't want to run it with the coolant leak you describe.

Re: need help

Joe im usually hard to follow even when im not frustrated , bummed, and on a phone. Yes the coolant leak is my biggest concern and just looked and felt at it again. It is coming from the head stud(bolt) area under header flange at two locations(studs each side of plug and near dipstick hole). It will drip with no system pressure and radiator cap off. Probably a drop in 3-4 minutes. Fred I went with a jegs keyed crank hub so as long as dowel pin in opti stayed in line I wouldnt be able to mis locate that could I? The opti wouldnt go on if pin was misaligned would it? I assume probably no way to test opti either as I pulled the rotor out.
