A / C delete?

Is there a shorter acc belt to bypass the A / C without needing a a/c replacing pulley.

yep otherwise if you try and run a shorter belet without that pulley, some of your accesories will run the wrong direction.

Re: A / C delete?

You should not need a shorter belt. Hell I even had the cheap one off ebay and it used the stock belt.

Re: A / C delete?

I had to get a shorter belt for mine. The only gain is weight loss. Im putting my a/c back on its only restricting when its on.

Re: A / C delete?

It looks like I need a shorter belt for my delete pulley also. I have the GM pulley and the belt is so loose it doesnt even stay on. Any of you guys have a part number for the belt I need by any chance?

Re: A / C delete?

I believe there may have been two different A/C clutch pulley diameters used, and whether you need a new belt when you use the A/C delete pulley will depend on which diameter clutch pulley you had.

Exactly. There were two different diameter a/c pulleys used. Use a 642 belt for the bigger pulley or a 637 [edit: should be 635] for the smaller one.

Re: A / C delete?

Thanks for the info. I definitely ended up with a smaller delete pulley than the size my compressor pulley was. Is 637 the ac delco part number?

Re: A / C delete?

The A/C delete pulley is a smaller diameter, but it's offset on the bracket to hold the belt length.
