Hey guys, soooo...
6 weeks ago I ordered My LT race headers and they are the last part I'm waiting on to complete my setup... the company i purchased them from still does not have them in stock as they are on back order from Pacesetter

they do however, have the coated LT's with the emissions hook ups that they could send out to me and I would have them by thursday or friday

I am tying up my friends bay (1 of only 2 bays he has at his business) and we need to get the car back together by the end of the week roughly

would I lose any HP going to the emissions headers? do you think it would be worth it to try and wait it out (said it could be 3 weeks, maybe more for the race headers)

input would be appreciated, I need to give this guy a call back later today to let him know

also, could I just cut and weld the emissions hookups off without serious consiquences?

You won't lose any horsepower by going with emissions headers.

I'm not sure about the answers to the rest of your questions.

 

I'd ask them for a deal on them---giving them the impression that you are prepared to go with another vendor. I would opt for coated ones anyway since the bare steel will rust. JMHO

 

yeah, I had ordered the coated ones to begin with... I probably should have stated that in my original post

I didn't even bother... I just called them and got the emissions ones sent to me
they list for between 15-25$ more than the race ones do, but they didn't charge me any extra so that's cool with me

plus, I called pacesetter a couple weeks back and they actually had stopped manufacturing them for a while and they are really taking a long time to get them out to their vendors

when I ordered them I was told they would be an extra week (which was what pacesetter told them) but apparently pacesetter only sent them the uncoated race ones
