as stated need someone in wichita, ks...car starts after you hold key, give it gas after about 5-10 seconds...runs but runs awkward, smells like fuel(a/f ratio seems too be bad), anyone feel comfortable enough to take a look or any good recomendations to a good mechanic?

I'd love to help you out, just not coming to Wichita this year as my mother inlaw is coming down this time (she lives in Wichita). Are you throwing any codes? Have you checked all the usual suspects - Coil, Wires, ICM, OPTI, etc..? Also, by hold the key to you mean you have to keep turning it over for a little and it's not firing after a couple secs? Get it scanned and see if you are throwing any codes first.
