Need Fuel Pressure Gauge for Testing

Alright, time to finally buy one myself. Should I just go to autozone or a parts store and buy one? Or do I need one specifically for GM vehicles? I've seen a few fuel pressure gauges (for testing, not permanent) that say they are for testing GM vehicles. Do I need to buy one of those or can I simply get any gas pressure gauge at a store? Thanks!

The fuel pressure test gauge has to fit on a -4AN connector, and it has to have a device in the hose connector to depress the valve core in the Schrader valve when it is attached.

I got mine at Auto Zone, works like a charm and it has additional adapters so I can even check Ford's with it (wow). Make the investment in good tools they last longer.

And I'm always real careful around gas, because gas = bad fire.

Exactly what I needed to know. Now I can finally own my OWN pressure gauge. Lol!

Sounds like what I am looking for. I'll stop by sometime and see if I can nab one.

Lol, it sounds almost as if you are talking from experience there with the fire.

Autozone sells two types that I'm aware of. The basic gauge which is in the $40.00 range had to correct fitting for the Schrader. Unless you are going to use the gauge on different cars the basic one will do.

Sounds good. I will go by and pick one up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how late I get back into town. But yeah, I would probably use it on different vehicles, so I might go with a more universal setup. Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
