Need clutch
I've spent about $3500 in the last 3 days ordering parts for my car. I ordered BMR k-member and other suspension stuff, cam kit with lifters, pushrods, and timing chain along with plugs and wires from Combination Motorsports, SLP headers, Random Tech high flow cat, CSI water pump, an LT4 knock module and all the parts to convert to a vented opti. So, I take the car out to give it one last beating before the upgrades. My friends dad tells me to light 'em up as I leave his house. (Yeah, he's pretty cool) So of course I do. I smoke 'em through 1st gear, when I hit second the RPM's go to like 4500 and the tires stop spinning but I'm only going like 15 mph. In addition to all the parts my wife thinks I don't need, I also need a clutch. I've heard good things about the Star SPEC clutches. Which do I need for about 350 RWHP? What else do I need besides the clutch kit? Should I resurface the flywheel? I guess I'm lucky it's held up this long. I just hit 79,000 miles and I'm always racing, either on the street, strip, or Solo 2. Thanks for your input.

Resurface your stock flywheel, Order a SLP moddified pressure plate , them order a Mcleod single disc 7,500rpm pad!!
Why Mcleod??.....You never heard a bad word about the single or twin within reason.
Spec... I cant trust a 50/50 product that may or may not hold up!!

Well, I'll chime in about Spec.
Spec Stage II on my car; I'm guessing 290ish RWHP; rated up to 450RWHP I believe. I simply had flywheel resurfaced and everything else was a breeze. Gave it a 375 mile break in and she's been good to go.
She gets pounded at the track at the VERY least once a month (it's been raining like EVERY weekend here). And, the times in my sig were ran on this clutch. I was giving it 4000-4500 RPM dumps the whole day...I've got 8 timeslips from that day alone. I run it hard on ET streets at the track, and I cruise in it like a grandma on the street with my Yokos.
It's a great clutch, and Spec sticks by their product...heard nothing but praise about their customer service. I'd say give this clutch a go for now. Once you start really putting some ponies to the ground, get the Street Twin; I plan to do that myself.
