i have a 95 z28 with a built trany (auto), headers,3.42 gears ram air ,MSD 6AL,hyper tec programer. i would like to rebuild the motor but not replace the heads. maybe replace the pistons with forged ones for some NOS. it' is their a place that would sell kits cheaper than buying sep. i would need a timeing chain and stuff also . do you think i should switch to eletric water pump? i'm on a buget

 

I think that Summit sells an LT1 rebuild kit with all the basics.... as for a cam, the best deal is a GM Performance Parts "LT4 Hotcam kit" which includes 1.6 full roller-rocker arms, new valve springs & of course the cam itself, which makes a very good strong street cam.

Other than that, the only cheap way is to find used parts from the right sellers.... but I am leary of used valvetrain parts.
