I have the abs inop light on now (plus "asr off" of course) - typically comes on after about 5 to 10 minutes of driving. Yes all the grounds are grounded good and no, there are no brake lights out. I believe it's one of the wheel sensors. I'm told they're integrated into the wheel hub - is this correct? Anyone know where I could get the necessary parts on the cheap? Sam taylor perhaps? GM parts direct?

Before I go tearing the car apart I'd like to scan it so I know exactly which wheel is throwing the code.. however I don't own a scan tool of any kind (it's a '96 so I frequent autozone a lot). I'd like to pickup a scan tool that will let me read data from the sensors (engine and chassis) so I can figure out what wheel sensor is causing problems. I don't care if the thing doesn't read codes really - autozone can do that. I just need to be able to diagnose my abs problems at this point.. and I'd like to be able to check on some other sensors in the future. Editing capability would definately be a plus. If the software requires a laptop that's fine as I or my gf will be purchasing one shortly.. oh and I own a palm too.

I'd like to not drop a fortune on this but list product names (any price) and we'll see what I have to spend. I just figured that now would be a good time to pickup a scan tool rather than pay 60 bucks to have the local shop scan it.
