ok, i can notice a slite tapping comin when I start my car, nothin major just a little extra noise. Then when im driving, when ever i get on it even a little the tappin/ticking gets loud. when it kicks into od, and i even push the gas a little i can hear the tapping/ticking even with the windows up, over my exhaust, and with the radio on. Im pretty sure its not a header leak cause i just replaced the gaskets. any other suggestions?

 

If its something in the valve train, i think im just gonna get the lt4 conversion from jason cromer

I would totally agree that it could be an exhaust leak. I would not rule that out either. Get a piece of heater hose and put one side to your ear and work the other around the engine bay to try to pinpoint the location of the noise. Then go from there.
