Angry My car barley runs when its cold

When its cold and I start it up, it barley idles, and there is a loud sucking noise through the intake. As soon as its warmed up, that noise goes away and it runs like nothing ever happened. I took off my EGR, and that didn't fix it. I took out my AIR pump fuse when the car was running and it still does it. The only thing thats keeping me from thinking its an opti is it runs fine once its warmed up. I also changed the coil and wires a couple hundred miles ago. The plugs only have around 5000 miles on them, so I doubt thats the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.

Re: My car barley runs when its cold

I thought I might have had 2 hoses reversed on it, so I took it out for a drive and then when I came up to a stop sign it starts bucking and stalls. Then it took about 10 seconds for it to start but it was bucking and missing for about 30 seconds, then it was fine. It only does it when its cold, and doesn't always do it. Also, the 02 sensors are only a few months old and they are AC delco. I'm starting to think it might be my opti-spark but it runs fine when its warmed up. It pulls stronge to 6K and feels like it pulls as hard as it ever has.

What's the fuel pressure when this is going on? Tried disconnecting the MAF to see what happens? I noticed your signature said you were running rich. Do you still have the same cat? If so, have you ever checked the back pressure? If you don't want to use a gage, try disconnecting it.

I don't have any cats, and I got another tune to fix the a/f. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, I might have to go out and buy one. I'll try disconnecting the MAF and see what happens.

Re: My car barley runs when its cold

Well as soon as my fans turned on my car started running like **** again. I looked at the temp gauge and it was way below 160, so I went to the dealership and bought a coolant temperature sensor. So far its running good, hopefully thats it.
