Mysterious Oil Leak

To start with I put long tubes on the car this year and shortly after noticed under hard acceleration that the car would smoke, but not from exhaust, from the passenger side somewhere. I have changed or checked the following items, new valve cover, vc gasket, intake gasket, oil pan gasket, and checked the rear main seal. The car is leaking oil and it will only do it under hard throttle. Is it possible the head gasket is the problem? I am not loosing any antifreeze, but it does lose oil. The firewall has oil on it and I have looked from underneath the car, top and where ever else I could get to, to try and find this leak. The oil looks to be coming from the upper portion of the motor somewhere and running down the firewall and onto the passenger side header and y-pipe. I just wanted to check and see if anyone else experienced a similar problem and if the head gasket could leak oil like that.

could be the intake where it meets the block at the back. Oil seeps out runs down the side of the block and bell housing gets all over the starter and blows back over the transmission and headers.

I have already changed the intake gasket becuase that is where I originally thought it was coming from. I changed them and it made no difference what so ever.

Maybe you still have a leak at the intake gasket. Just hose everything down with brake clean and get everything dry, run the car and look for wet spots with a mirror.

I had oil leak problems after driving hard as well, I installed a valvecover breather and
that stopped it.
May be a PCV issue as well.

If you're sure that the intake gasket is not leaking, double check the oil pressure sending unit. It can leak and it may have been damaged during some of the other changes. Check to see if the oil seems to be merely leaking (like from an intake or valve cover gasket) or whether it is spraying under pressure as it would be from the sending unit. The head gasket is highly unlikely to leak oil although antifreeze feels "oily" to the touch. If the oil is coming out under pressure the "puddle" will be larger and it will probably get much worse.

i would take some engine degreaser clean it up real good and look for the leak... but thats really strange normally if it was a head gasket it would overheat or blow white smoke from the tailpipe...i would check the valve covers again make sure they arent bent at all and make sure you have a good seal with the gasket.. i would first try to locate if around what area its coming from that will give a better idea
