My water-proof opti died :(

I was so proud of my waterproof opti, I washed the damn engine fairly regularly before I ever read how vulnerable the opti can be with water. It never had a problem so I'd still use a little FoamyBright every now and then anyways.
Finally I had some suspected ignition problems and I promtly suspected the old opti. I guess it didn't like the removal and reinstall for the heads and cam this summer. Well I took it apart and theres no sign of a moisture problem, I thought the terminals would be all green and blue with corrosion. What I did find was that one of the screws that holds the rotor had come out and was flying around in there with all that high voltage. It even shaved off many of the small raised ribs on the inside of the plastic housing of the cap. I just cant beleive how tiny the little screws are that hold the rotor, especially when compared to more common GM rotors. I dont even have a torx bit that small. Go figure.
