my track times: WTF
I went to the track, but only did three runs because I was discouraged. My first two were over 15 seconds, so nevermind those. But the best time I could pull was a 14.9, but I had a 1.9 60ft. I have nitto drag radials, magnaflow exhaust w/out cat, and a hurst shifter. That is it for mods. So what is going on? My car stumbles sometimes under slightly heavy acceleration. Could this be a tuning problem, since my engine has a small cam in it?
I know I don't suck too bad at driving because I think I pulled a pretty good 60 ft time. Oh, my mph were something like 93.12 I think. Any suggestions guys?

Don't feel bad, the last time I was at the track I was getting much less than encouraging numbers back. I don't know what to really tell you about what is wrong with your car, opti is my guess.
How many miles are on your car?

Okay, here is the full story to make it less confusing....
Car spun a bearing the week after I got it, so I got a different motor with about 89k, and a new topend, mostly stock except for a cam and maybe springs. The guy said it hasn't been run with the parts, but while replacing the oil pan gasket and stuff, it was obvious the cam had been run because of the wear marks on it. So I put that engine in, and this is where I am at. I put a used opti in, that had about 10k on it, and new plugs and wires.
Any other ideas? I relly don't think it is my driving, because I wsa able to pull a good 60ft. Does this sound like a tuning problem to you guys?

Not to sound like a smartass, But are you it was a 350 but not the 267 4.3 look alike you bought. I have seen alot of guys selling these motors and saying they are 350's. They look alike and the Aluminum heads bolt right onto it. Have seen guys doing this in person. The only reaon I ask is The guy you bought it off said it had a new cam and you visually seen it is not. So the guy isnt so Honest. Just might thought, as if it means anything.
Yeah, I am positive it's the 350. It has 250 stamped on the side of the block I think. And the engines were identical in every way. That would really suck though.
Any other ideas on why my times suck so bad?

The single most important thing that you need to do right now is to eliminate the obvious...
Fuel Filter
Plugs
Wires
and so forth...
You should also log the car and see if you can see any problems. I had an issue with 10-12 degrees of knock retard at one point. Scanning the car is the only way to catch that.
Is the car an A4 or M6, what rear end does the car have in it? A 2.73 rear end is going to skew your times because of the slower acceleration.
Weather is going to have a lot to do with your track times too.
Since I can't speak on the 327 stamped on the side of the block, I would encourage you to make 10000% sure that it's what you paid for.

I think you've been had. Sorry, but I'll back up the 327 stamp. As I was reading this it kept on getting worse and worse until you said what was stamped on the block. Kick his ***, sue, cry, and get your money back and then some. I'd be ragin'!!
Edit: Let us know where you got the engine from so nobody else gets scammed! Put it in your sig too! F@ck Sorry if it's true!
