i just did and opti install and i dunno why but in the morning or sometimes on a stop is lkike the power streering is gone. what can this be. this has only occured when stopped while driving it seems fine.. maybe this has nothing to do with it but i also feel like the car steers on its own sometimes on uneven surfuces.

Powersteering doesnt do much at speed. I would check the fluid first thing.

 

ok but sometimes een when im stopped it steers very softly. ill check the fluid.

 

Maybe the belt is slipping, you have air in the PS system, the pump is failing, or the rack is going bad. could just be a coincidence since you probably have some miles on the car since you just did an opti swap.

 

well im guessing is the waterpump and i guess is leaking causing the belt to slip. and the car has only 54k miles.
