Is my slave cylinder f'ed up? PIC INSIDE!
Is it just me or shouldnt this be straight? I have no clue, so just askin.

The pushrod should be straight.
The plastic tabs on the side are for shipping. You'll notice the cap on the end of the pushrod is plastic... if you order a new slave from GM it comes with the pushrod bottomed out in the housing, held in place by the strips. They break away once you fill the hydraulics with fluid and pump the pedal for the first time.
I have no idea whether or not it's ok to use... but it probably isn't a bad idea to replace it.

The first time I put mine back together It jammed and I bent the pushrod. I just beat it straight with a BMF hammer on top of a vise and it continues to work just fine. I think you can take the plastic on a new slave off first but most people don't.
