My Second Trip to the Track

The dragstrip that I go to is an 1/8 mile track, I have a 1994 Z28 6 speed with only the SLP Loudmouth exhaust system. I finally was satisfied enough with my ET that I left the drag strip early : ) Last Thursday night my best was 9.406 @ 76.661 with a 2.353 60 ft. Tonight was a much better night, not to mention I got to the line right before they put the VHT down. The run was a 9.112 @ 77.654 with a 2.138 60 ft. I was very happy, I got out of the whole pretty well, only revved it to 3000 RPM then dropped the clutch, with the track condition it probably could have with stood 3700 RPM. I can't wait for more mods, getting into the 8's. By the way, I beat an older very nice looking Fox Body 5.0 with a cowl hood, and what sounded like an exhaust system with cam, I couldn't tell, I was just glad I whooped him : ) Is a 9.112 fairly good for a M6 LT1?

9.112 is good if you ask me. i also had a 94 with an m6 and man, that thing was fun to drive! with only an after market muffler, i was running 9.25-9.35 @77 at an 1/8 mile track. my 1/4 time was a 14.38 @99
