Airfoil Install? Plus Donkey Dong delete

I just got my SLP airfoil in the mail today but I don't have any install instructions. It has a screw in the middle of it but I don't know where to screw it in at.

Also wondering what I can use to plug up the donky dong hole on the bottom of the elbow? Any suggestions?

you have to take the plate off of the top of the throttle body . once you do that, but the airfoil in the correct spot, put the bolt in and then you should have a nut for the back side of the bolt. Tighten down and let her rip.

The BEST way of doing it would be to buy a 1-LE elbo. Other than that.... lots of super glue

I went to go take the TB plate off and I got all the screws off but one. It completely STRIPPED!! I don't know what I am going to do now. I put all the others ones back on and tightened them down but the last screw is sticking up a little bit and I can't get it.

Someone said a Suave shampoo bottle top would work on the donkey dong but I wasn't sure if it really did or not.

You could use the shampoo cap mod if you want. Just make sure to seal up any leaks.

My elbow was ripped right around the tb though, so I just went ahead and bought the tfs one. Ceramic coated and looks really good with a cold air kit, much more streamlined. Not to mention they just came out with a bare satin one for 75 and black powdercoated for 80 from summit. I might have gotten the powdercoated one if they had it when I bought an elbow. Oh well...

I ended up capping it off but just noticed that mine is also kinda ripped up around the lip that connects to the tb. Where can I order one for cheap? I also don't know what to do about my stripped tb plate screw.

Cheap??? I dunno, if you go to an auto parts store they're likely to charge you almost the same price as an aftermarket one, if they can even get ahold of it. I won't even mention a dealership.

Get a metal one. You'll be happier in the long run, especially if you like tinkering with your car. It seems like a lot of money just for a piece of metal, but that's how it works, imo it's better than a lot of money for a piece of plastic.

I saw some on summit but I am wondering where the plug is in it for the IAT connection or whatever that sensor is that plugs into the elbow? If it doesn't have one, what exactly do you do with the sensor? I need a better job!!

Oh believe me, the IAT sensor opening is there.

However, to cut building costs there is no provision for the opti vent line- you can drill one yourself or relocate it to a part of the intake that is plastic. Vented and non-vented opti users get the same part.

It comes with everything you need, minus a screwdriver. And the rubber pieces that hold everything together are the cloth type so they are durable and will not rip.

I like it much better than the plastic junk that was on there originally. I don't have to worry about cracking it when I take it off. Which would probably be about every weekend. If not more.

Well I guess I have the non-vented opti because it is a 94. So no need for me to do any drilling or anything. Hopefully I will just end up with an aftermarket one in a little while. Thanks again for your help!

stripped bolt.? vice grips should work for one that small. I run the 1LE elbow on both of my 94s the one i got 3 years ago had a small vaccum port for the vented opti which i filled with glue, the one i got this year didn't.

Everytime I look at a metal elbow, I think of how big of a heat sink it is. Seems like the hot underhood temps would tend to heat up the elbow and transfer the heat to the incoming air.

Kind of the opposite reason we do the TB bypass mod.
