I friend installed crane gold 1.6 roller rockers, hotcam, and new timing chain in my 1994 Lt1 Camaro. The car is not running like it should be. Idling around 500 rpm's. I thought it may have been my custom tune with PCMforless but he said it was just a standard tune. It appears to be flooding but my fuel pressue is at 42 PSI. I've posted here before thinking it was a fuel problem but now I am thinking maybe the rockers are too tight because there is no power in the car and when I rev it up it doesn't seem like it has much kick and is holding back. Any suggestions? If my rockers are too tight how do you tighten them properly?

 

it could be very possible its overtightend rockers. did you upgrade your springs also? i belive the hotcam is pretty big for stock springs.

I can't remember if the springs were replaced or night. It was done back in the spring. I will check with my buddy. If they were stock would that cause a problem with the hotcam and 1.6 RR?

 

Stock springs are only good to about .500 lift. I really hope you aren't still running the stock springs as the hot cam with 1.6RRs makes .525 lift.

 

I confirmed I did install new springs with the hotcam kit. They are good for over 600 lift.

 

what brand/type of springs are they?

 

They are GM I believe that came with the hotcam.
