Coating that won't hold up in Bay Area weather won't hold up anywhere. Maybe you really do get what you pay for.
My Jet Hot coated Hookers still look great after a few years.

ONly cure is stainless, or nickle dip a mild steel header (i did this to my pacesetters almost 2 years ago and look great still, my hookers lasted like a month before they started rusting)
What is nickel dipping? Can they be done on headers if they are already coated??

Thats why I am buying mine painted, going to have them blasted and high temp painted for free by a freind, later will get some Jet Hot KOOKS later with a new motor.

Re: My Paceseter LT's are falling apart

What they look like from the bottom doesn't really matter. If they rust at the top, I'd be pretty upset. My Jet-Hot's are rusted on the bottom a bit, and I don't drive the car very often. The only problem I have with my headers is the damn slip-fit not "fitting" properly.... damn exhaust leak

The coating on my long tubes is starting to rust also, and the car doesn't see rain or snow and is very rarely driven. Plus, I have only had these headers for almost a year now.

yeah, Thats true. I'm blaming all you guys for my purchase of pacesetters. I was going to get hookers, but no..."Pacesetters are good headers at a good cost. buy them, buy them" The cz28.com member said. "But pacesetter has a horrible reputation with all their other products", blackztpi stated. "Ah, thats nonsense. run along now and buy yourself some pacesetters. You'll love them, bwaahahahahaha!" Well, there's my version of why i hate you guys. lol sorry for the lack of talent in the story telling department. (everybody does realize i don't hate everybody, right?? I don't want to be getting any hate mail)

Re: My Paceseter LT's are falling apart

I debated this for a long time before I just saved up for a set of stainless stepped Kooks. Absolutely worth every penny, for fitment , plug access, ground clearance, etc, etc...They should be the last headers I buy...And they look just plain awesome!

Pacesetters here, a little over a year old now, and mine still look brand new besides the few spots they have rubbed on something.
