It's a rebuilt to stock LT1. Standard pump and everything. I have drove it maybe 100 miles. When cold the pressure is great. After the engine is hot driving it will run about 45-50 but when I'm at an idle in gear "automatic" hot it will get down to 25-35 at 600 RPMs. Does that seem low at idle when hot or is that normal?

 

If it was below 10psi at idle I would maybe start to get concerned.

 

it's never been that low. i think 25 is the lowest it has been at idle.

 

25psi at hot idle is lots. You have nothing to worry about.

 

That pressure seems normal to me.

 

That's pretty good idle pressure.

 

The normal range when hot with a stock pump that ive seen is 15-18 psi .... and 25 is really good for a stock pump..

good to hear. I'm kinda new to LT1s so I wasn't sure. The only reason I was wondering is because my LS1 never gets below 40 psi but I guess every engine is different
