My new x-pipe setup *pic*

I finally decided to go with this setup after looking around message boards for a few weeks.
Pacesetter 1-3/4 primary long tubes (still in box)
2-Flowmaster 3" to 2-1/2" venturi reducer/collector extensoins
2-Dynomax Thrush Glasspacks, 2-1/2", straight through 20" long
Summit universal 2-1/2" x-pipe
VHT flat black thermal paint to keep the welds from rusting after assembly.

I'll defiently get a sound clip and a few pics sent out to lt1engine.com and ls1sounds.com after all is said and done. Here it is dry fit in the floor:

very cool. I had almost the same setup on my other car, except I had the 12" bullets. I always wanted to put the longer mufflers on there to see if would make it a little quieter.

My exact setup, except I have bullets.

If you let the paint cure for a couple days before really moving it around it becomes VERY resistant to scratching, etc.

Should sound good. That's very similar to mine except I have the turbo tube mufflers and Jet hots. Inside the car it sounds good, but on the outside it's LOUD!!!

I agree. Looks like he may have gotten enough clearance from going down to 2.5"(?) pipe after the collectors though. Let us know if you have any frame clearance problems on the drivers side after the install.

Re: My new x-pipe setup *pic*

got the same setup as well except w/ just straight pipes and dumps, everything fit perfectly but the driver side collector hit the floorboards when i stand on the pedal. might need to adjust everthing after you drive it around, i just used the BFH mod on the driver side floorboard. everythig fit great after that, either way good luck. and i dont think you will ever go back to a y-pipe after doing the x and bullets, the sound is just awsome

Loud is open headers with collector extensions so that the 02 sensors will function. To bad im to pissed to take it to town like that for fear of police intimidation. I have a buddy that has long tubes and a loudmouth on his LS1. We were parked at a local place where everyone hangs out on the weekends. He just got his stuff together so we got him to rev it up for us so we could hear it and some skanky looking people in a beat up ford tarus called the police on us for disturbing the peace. At 8 pm in the middle of town. The police came, pulled up behind his parked car and then started questioning him, He said that he'd 'bust my friends ***' if his car ever got another complaint of noise or if he ever got caught 'showing out' in HIS parking lot. F*** the police.
