Re: My New BRE ProRam

My current project isnt even finished yet and my mind is already wondering what to do next. I have been seriously thinking about building a high RPM LT1 to put in my camaro. I want something that i can shift between 7500-8000 rpm (maybe this isnt considered high rpm to some.). Im tired of rice boys on the west coast with the 9 and 10k rpm 4 bangers. I want something that can rev damn near to the moon and show them what it should sound like (instead of a lawn mower on crack). I know that the LT1/LT4 intakes are not meant for this RPM range. Im wondering what intake would be neccissary to wind up this high.

Bret. I know you have done more then a few single plane conversions now. Think that 7500+ is feasible with one of these setups? I would get Tom Masek to build me an all forged all light weight short block and i was thinking to top it off with some kind of Ported AFR solid roller setup.

I need something that screams since i have no girlfriend right now.

^ you are going to have to spend big bucks on DFI to spin that high. The stock PCM can only go to 7k

7500+ is not a problem you just need more cam. If you want RPM and a street car then you almost have to go to a IR setup for a intake since that will allow you to run enough cam.

Keep it to 7000rpm and you should be fine for a street motor.

What are you going to do with the car when you get one? I personally only like one thing that screams around at a time.... or do I? (in his best Homer Simpson voice)
