Question My hooker Y pipe doesn't quite fit

Just received my hooker Y pipe and it looks to be a few inches too wide. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem?

I had a problem with my Borla "Y" pipe, but it was only about 1/2" off. Several inches is quite a bit. May need to cut and reweld it.

I had a similar problem but mine was about an inch short. I had to cut it and have it spliced back together.

Man, for a 170 bucks you would think they could get one measurement correct. This seems to be common. I guess it depends on how much the guy at Hooker with the measuring tape drinks the night before.

I got it for $130 shipped from a board member, new. But ye, you are right, there some idiot engineers making parts. They could have easily introduced more adjustability by allowing pipes to come in more into each other. Now I will have to shorten one pipe with my dremlin, which is time consuming.

I hope I don't have to modify mine. I should be able to do the install in about three weeks. How did everyone have to modify theirs.

B.T.W. I got my y-pipe for $82 new.
