My Head Flow #'s

I just got back from the machine shop,I don't have a scanner so I will just list them. Mild porting with 1.94 intake 1.60 exhaust valves.

Do you think the CC306 would work good with my set up? my gears will be 3.73

lift Int Ext

100 61 \ 49.3

200 130.8 \ 89.9

300 185\128.2

400 217.2\ 149.2

500 242.4 \ 162.8

550 248.6 \ xxxxx no exhaust # on 1/2 lift

600 242.7\ 173

Re: My Head Flow #'s

they aren't too bad for running stock valves, the exhaust is a tad low. I guess how much did you pay for them will determine if you got a great deal.

Re: My Head Flow #'s

Was it only porting or did they back-cut the valves any? If they didnt I would dissasemble the heads and have the valves back-cut it will ad a noticable flow improvement.

But I agree , good numbers for stock sized valves.

Re: My Head Flow #'s

I think if I go with an off the shelf grind it will be the CC306,but I am going to call Comp cams later and see what they recomend.

The stock shortblock.

I am just doing H/C electric wp and gears right now.

Re: My Head Flow #'s

my ARE heads only flow about 10 cfm more then that. and im running mid 11s

oh and i would try futural motorsports for a cam, i was running the 306, then i put their cam in and gained about 2 mph
went from 115 to 117.5

the cam im running has less duration then the 306, but its close to 600 lift

Re: My Head Flow #'s

I will be happy with a low 12.

If it went faster I would be doing back flips.

Thanks for the heads up on the cam.

Re: My Head Flow #'s

I'd be curious about the exhaust numbers.

If those are true numbers, I'd expect to see very low 12s on motor with a nice bumpstick without a hassle.
