My car won't start

I get in the car this morning and I just hear the relay clicking. Eventually I got it to start up after many turns of the key. I get to work, it seems to start good going out for lunch. At the end of the day, it won't start... tried hundreds of times. I got a jump etc, battery voltage read 14v on the gauge as well. At this point there is no hope, I ended up just having a friend push me while i popped it in first gear, started instantly.

I am puzzled, the one thing i noticed is that my battery tray broke and the battery moves freely. I am thinking there is just a lose ground somehow, or possibly a bad starter or wiring.

Do you still have the stock coil? Try there first happened to me twice once in a parking lot under warranty then once in my driveway, all it ended up being was the coil. See if you get spark coming from the coil by pulling a plug wire if you can get to it.

If just clicks but doest turn over, it could be either a bad starter solenoid, or a loose/bad ground to the solenoid itself.

The car runs great, I just can't start it with the starter. I checked the starter and all the wires are bolted on tight.
