My Car Is Falling On Its Face
My Car Is Falling On Its Face
hey tonite i was just running open manifolds with enough pipe to be considered longtubes, it ran good for the first 30 mins of so, but it was still jerking at 4-5k like it was straving for fuel, the only code that i was getting was the low catalyst in bank one, could it be that i have a bad o2 sensor, after the car was warmed up it started to cut out at all rpms. could this mean i have a bad 02, in the manifold?? which is leaning out my car?
It's tough to help out if we don't know anything about your car... The year is important, as that determines how many O2 sensors your car has. Assuming you have OBD II, if you have a code for post-cat on drivers side, then no, it will not car to lean out. It simply means that the cat on the drivers side is not performing properly. The sensor could also be bad.
As for the cutting out, those issues are usually ignition related. Have the plugs, wires, or opti been changed recently?

edit the car info is in the sig, it only happens when the car is completly warmed up, could be be the Throttle Postioning Sensor, i have also heard it could be the coil, no burned wire or bad plugs.
anyone??

anyone??
