My brother has a 1991 Ford F-150 w/ the 302. He bought a stroker kit to make it a 347, cammed it, and a hole bunch of other stuff. He's almost done putting everything back in and the exhaust gets red hot after a few seconds of running. The timing is perfect, right on. It shot something out of the exhaust and lit the grass on fire...It was stored all winter with the exhaust hanging. Does anybody know what could be the problem?


EDIT: Also, it has stock heads and intake...I don't know if this matters.

 

In a thread a while back, someone had very similar symptoms and it turned out the the cam was off by one tooth.
