my 93 has traction control....???

my 93 has traction control....???

i didnt even know till the other day. it was really bright outside and i just happend to glance at the dash. i saw "tcs off" where a light would glow behind it. how can i turn it off or disable it?

you don't have traction control... there would be a switch in the center console if you did.

that's just where a traction control bulb would go if you had it... although i don't think it was even an option on the 93's.

we dont have traction control, gm just made a provision for it incase they decided to add it to the car.

....on the LT1s, wasnt it called ASR....thats what the writing says on my gauges

i dont think ive ever seen a asr. but we do have a change oil light located on the bottom right corner.

Thats correct, its the same way on my 92 truck with the ABS, theres a light there, but I know it doesnt have abs, as I have asked a few people and I have had all fours locked b4 too

i have the low trac light to, it doesnt mean you have traction control, i think traction control came in 96-97 cars. as far as i know they 94 never had traction control.

Close! Traction control (aka "ASR") was an option starting in '95. All 4th gens have the "low trac" light.

My 93 has that light, its for the ABS, sometimes it'll come on when taking off too. All it means it is detects the difference in wheel speeds. sometimes just turning real slow and sharp can set it off.
