Mutherfrikin hoses

Well my heater core went tit$ up last night so i figured i would bypass it till my replacement gets here sunday i got a union and everything and i got the clamps off but the sombiaatche hoses wont come off for nothing i even had me and a friend tugging on them at the same time!!!

Anyway i am open to suggesstion on how to get these things off of here i tried twisting them but that didn't work and i am so tempted to cut the damn things off and do away with the heather all together

Sorry for the long post but i wish just one thing on this car would be easy to work on

well thanks in advance

Patience and a length of bent wire to ream around the ends OR if you have plenty of length cut them off. JMHO

Changing the oil is pretty simple, and the fuel filter is very easy to replace. Other than that, yeah pretty much everything else is tough to work on.

Seriously though, I've never messed with the heater core on these cars but I had to fix a leak in one on a pos 85 Cavalier I used to have, and it was a pain the ****. The hose attachment at the core was some cheap plastic fitting and it was molded to the core. I think I had to cut it off or break it off to remove it. You had to replace the whole core to fix it "right", the plastic hose wasn't repairable. I removed that hose and bypassed that section of it with a piece of radiator hose. It worked, but I remember the heat just wasn't as good afterwards I don't know if the setup is the same on 4th gens but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

this will sound good---take a pair of vice grips and grab the hose and twist side to side until it breaks free I did that and it works like a charm just don't pull it towards you pull it up and down following the pipe and it will loosen up just clamp the vise down on the hose..
