To much Hydrocarbons

I failed Emissions, pointing out 1.44 GPM and the standard here is .8 Anyone where i should begin on this?

Are you running a catalytic convertor? If not... that's the likely resaon. If you are, it may be dead. Or you might have an A/F ratio problem.... too rich. In that case unburned HC and CO will generally be high, and NOx will be low. What were the measured levels of CO and NOx, vs. the "standard"?
