can't figure out where this connector goes!

I'm putting the motor back together right now and noticed that i have a wire coming off one of the main wiring harnesses that runs on the driver's side of the intake. (it's the bunch that has the fuel injector connectors in it).
there is a connector with a red, black, and yellow set of wires going into it (so it's 3 pronged) and I do not see a place for it to go. it only has a range of about 5 inches so maybe i'm just overlooking something.
again, it's on the driver's side of the top of the engine.
wish i had pictures, it would probably be much more helpful for you guys.
oh yeah and the air intake, nor the intake manifold is on yet but i could not find a fitting which would accept this connector.

and for the vented opti guys, where does the vaccum harness connect to (the two hoses).
maybe shoebox has some sort of diagram to help me, it seems like he's got great resources for stuff like this!
thanks,
Michael

One hose connects to your intake elbow (drill a hole, and push the blue part through) The other tees off of the EGR vacuum bung on the intake. Easier just to remove EGR, and use that instead of teeing it, but either works.

This is Shoebox's wiring harness photo... its a 95, not a 97 but it might help you identify the connector:

Harness Photo

Since you have a 97, you should already have a small hole in the intake elbow to connect the blue elbow on the Opti vacuum line to.

to tell ya the truth (i feel like a retard), i think it connects to the MAF sensor! I will find out tomorrow, when i go back to the garage but since i did not have the intake tube, nor the MAF, installed yet, it makes sense that is probably what it goes to!
shoebox, just out of curiosity, i'm looking at that picture of all your wiring...what is the "VSS" wire?

F-Body University worked for me!
