We've got a guy on the speed density board who just got his in and running. Says the car fired right up and idled like it never had before, completely smooth and flawless.

Might want to read this thread documenting a problem with the cap/rotor used on the MSD Opti.....

And I said "a problem with the cap/rotor used on the MSD Opti". I did not say it was documenting a problem with the complete Opti. Although..... a rational person might intuitively assume that MSD uses their brand new cap and rotor on their brand new Billet Opti. If you have info to the contrary, let us in on it.

But you don't know for sure if they do either. Right now all anyone can do is assume unless someone calls MSD and finds out.

I'm courious, which is better the MSD Opti or the Dynaspark? I have purchased a dynaspark for my 396 stroker and hopefully have it finished and running by the weekend? Just wondering which is the better Opti?

It still remains to be seen. The MSD unit is too new to tell. And for that matter, I have not heard that much feedback about the Dynaspark (complaints or otherwise), though normally people are going to complain first.

Ellis had a problem with his MSD cap and rotor and sent it to msd and they fixed the problem on the latest revision.

Ill just stick with my stock 110k opti for now Oh all the bad things i've heard they still seem to work pretty well, when you can have a 9 sec na car with a reg old opti they can't be that bad.

Do you have any proof that they use the same parts? Too many people assume **** on here and pass on the wrong info, it gets kind of old. If someone has proof and knows for sure i have no problem with that info. It's kind of like how everyone on here has LE heads, its like no other head porters exist on this website. And I'm not dissing LE heads, they are badass heads, just using it as an example on everyone follows trends, its kind of funny.

I ask this question in every thread and nobody ever responds. I'm going to stick with my proven Dynaspark for now until someone can prove the MSD is better. There is a group purchase in the sponsor section by Tbyrne.
