Here is a link to the original write-up documenting the problems I had with the MSD. I will post my update in their to keep it all in the one thread. I won't get to it until probalby Thursday as I am going out of town.

From a customer service perspective, while we sell both the MSD and Dynaspark, we would recommend the Dynasparks. They were the first to have a reliable replacement opti and they have thoroughly upgraded all the common points of failure. They have had them out for years and continually improved upon their product. They also are much easier to work with should you ever have a problem or need a rebuild. You can literally give them a call and the guy that builds them will talk to you. Try that with MSD!

As we said before, we haven't had a problem with one yet but like any part, there are always a couple that could fail.

It would be nice to have full specs and internal pics of both the MSD and Dynaspark. The MSD can be had for around 400 bucks. The best prices I've seen on the Dynasparks are always close to 600.

MSD doesn't reall give many specs about their unit. Dynaspark tells you everything about the upgrades they have done.

If there are 5 or more people interested in a Dynaspark, I am sure we could set up a Group Purchase. Post if you are interested

Here are some pretty decent pics of the MSD unit. Rumor has it they've replaced on O-Ring on their unit that was causing problems with a gasket.

I think the Opti in my 94Z needs replaced and I'd be interested in the Group Buy. What kind of price break would we be looking at if at least 5 people are interested?

We could sell them for 550.00 if we have 5 or more orders. If you are interested, you can place your order online at our web site and put CAMAROZ8 GP in the special instructions field. You will not be charged until we get 5 orders and we will give you the GP price. Should we not get enough orders, the GP would be cancelled and no one charged.

Thanks

Do you guys carry the MSD optis? How much for a group purchase on those? Does it matter if the models in the group purchase are a mix of 93-94's and 95's+?

Sorry we cannot do anything on the MSD's. Right now, they are on back order from MSD as well.

For the Dynaspark, they can be mix and match.
