Exclamation MSD for an LT1

Im planning to get the MSD for my ride. I was wondering what else I need to get along with the 6A.

They make a GM coil wiring harness... you need the one for the single-connector coil.

Re: MSD for an LT1

When I installed my MSD 6AL unit in '96 I thought it was the best SOTP mod I could have made. The multiple spark below 3000 rpm really made a difference in acceleration. I recently switched to the MSD Dig 6 as I am adding N2O. Enjoy!!!

Re: MSD for an LT1

with the msd box and coil, i gained a consistent .55 mph! if that says anything, but i would think putting ur money elsewhere would be a better idea. but it wont hurt, if anything it would be better in my opinion.

In my experience, that is not true for the LT1. After my unit was on for about 2 1/2 years or so I had to return it for rewiring due to a bad wire. While it was gone I could really tell the difference in performance below 3000 rpm. Others may have different experience...

Re: MSD for an LT1

I cannot quantify a difference in on track performance whether or not my MSD box is enabled.
