I have a 97 with vented opti and an EWP. I need a new timing chain for my 383. Can someone tell me where's the best place to buy one and what part number?

I understand I will need to remove the CPS reluctor wheel and find a 95 or earlier F-body crank hub also.

 

Jegs used to have them. Do a search for the correct part number b/c only 1 works. If you cant find any info then I believe its just the 85+ SBC with HR cam.. runs about $70.

o'reillys carries cloyes timing chains/sets, if you talk to a decent parts guy and you get the right part # they should be able to get the set you want

 

I found a "cloyes double roller timing chain" at O'Reilleys for $19.99
It says it fits 1955-1991 350 V8, among other things (including 305 V8 and a bunch of V6s also). It has two part numbers on it: C-3023XSP and C-3923XSP. Anybody know if this is the right one?
